RALOS has always been an innovtaor. They've created their own app for door-to-door sales. Because the nature of solar work already requires a team of electricians to be on the workforce, why not also put that team to use elsewhere doing non-solar related electrical jobs? And that's exactly what RALOS has done. RALOS has also implemented a internship program that allows individuals to transition into any of the many different divisions within the company. It isn't your typical solar company.
So it's not surprising that when piles of used pallets began to stack up, owner Daniel Harder began looking for ways to make use of the scraps. No one at the company remembers who initially came up with the idea. But once the idea of using the pallets to create furniture was mentioned, it never really left Harder's mind.
It didn't take much time for the team to make their first attempt at bringing the idea into reality. A simple bench was created after a couple of days. Unfortunately, the bench was neither useful or very pleasing to look at. It was time to go back to the drawing board.
Harder liked the idea of outdoor furniture because the ruggedness of pallets really lent itself to the patio. He then went home and grabbed all of the cushions off of his own personal patio furniture set. A team of interns was tasked in designing patio furniture that would fit the cushions from some pallets. The first set the interns built was a charming set of two chairs and a loveseat. Now this was a viable product!
Soon, the team was creating more designs, from spacious sectional couches to beautifully stained coffee tables. However, the idea wasn't fully complete. RALOS was already transforming piles of wood scraps into gorgeous patio sets. Why not use the profits from the furniture pieces to support a greater prupose? That's where Zoom Global entered the story. RALOS began generously donating proceeds from the patio furniture to different Zoom Global campaigns.
RALOS is currently working with Fish House Upholstery, a local company, to create cushions for each piece. Fish House Upholstery has also graciously offered to teach the internship team the full process from start to finish, so the interns can create the cushions themselves. Also, a full ecommerce site to sell the furniture online is underway.
We at Zoom Global are immensely grateful to RALOS for their generous and unwavering support through these donations. These meaningful contributions have been instrumental in empowering us to continue our vital mission of improving the lives of those we serve. The synergy between our shared values and commitment to making a positive impact has enabled us to strengthen our outreach and provide assistance to countless individuals and communities in need. As we forge ahead in our endeavors, we are proud to have RALOS as a trusted partner, and we look forward to celebrating our collective achievements.
